Lane CarlockA native Atlantan, Lane has spent her career building her reputation as the go-to talent for local, regional, and national companies – either as internal spokesperson in live events, industrial films or corporate videos, or as the outward face on camera in TV commercials or print media. Lane has also been a recognizable voice on HGTV Network, as well as many TV and radio commercials. Lane’s TV hosting experience includes “Atlanta’s Best New Homes,” “Compendium,” “Writer’s in Focus,” and “Dollars and Sense” for the Discovery Channel. This fall she will begin hosting the syndicated show “Hot Topics.” Lane’s other TV credits include “Necessary Roughness,” “Being Mary Jane,” and “Drop Dead Diva.” Film credits include Scary Movie 5, Once Upon a Jedi, and The Other Side.
Lane’s real passion is live performance, and she has enjoyed working with such notable theatres as: Actors Express, Alliance Theatre, Horizon Theatre, Aurora, Theatre in the Square, SketchWorks, Stage Door, and Synchronicity Theatre. This August and September, she returns toTheatrical Outfit in The Savannah Disputation. Lane has also spent a good deal of her professional life working behind the microphone or camera in writing and producing. Lane has worked for legendary heritage station WSB Radio in Atlanta; she produced content and screened The Home Town Radio Show with Gary McKee and Larry Munson, The Neal Boortz Show, and The Clark Howard Show. Lane founded Lane Carlock Productions and executive produced, wrote, directed, and coordinated production of the series “Get ClarkSmart” for Cablevision. Recently Lane co-founded Nancy Creek Productions, and this collaboration with Brian Kurlander has created several projects, including MOXIE. Lane is married to Clark Howard, and they have two children: Stephi and Grant – Lane’s best achievement by far! |
